The MCU was more successful in its approach towards a found family story with the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but they have had fewer on-screen appearances than the Avengers. However, it finally seems like Marvel has managed to nail the found family dynamic with its newest entry: Eternals. The characters that this film centers around are much more believable as an actual family than the Avengers ever were, and director Chloé Zhao managed to get this feeling across in just one movie (as opposed to the 11 years Marvel had with the original Avengers characters)....

The attorney representing Crumbley previously waived his preliminary examination in an attempt to get the case to trial. The Black Phone was released earlier this year and was based on a short story by Joe Hill, son of Stephen King and acclaimed horror writer in his own right. The story of The Black Phone follows child actor Mason Thames as Finn “Finney” Blake, who is abducted from his Denver suburb by the Grabber. Finding himself locked in the Grabber’s basement, Finney finds the mysterious, titular black phone, which proves to be a line to the Grabber’s previous victims....

The European Commission, the executive branch of the EU, proposed new legislation that would obligate companies to adopt the USB-C charging cables, which many manufacturers have already begun using, moving forward. One of the top opponents to the proposed change is Apple, which voiced concerns that limiting charging cables could curtail future innovation and consequently displease buyers, AP reported. Apple’s iPhones use the Lightning charging port, the company’s own design, but adapter cables that can plug into USB-C sockets are included with newer models of the devices....
