On Saturday in Arizona, Longoria’s fiancee Jamie Edmondson gave birth to their second child, Nash Harrison Longoria. Although Longoria was almost a world away, he was able to watch the birth of his son via the FaceTime app on his phone while preparing for a game at the Tokyo Dome.

The perennial all-star knew that going to Japan would mean missing the birth of his son, but with his fiancee’s blessing, Longoria headed overseas.
Just a day after the newest member of the family was born, Longoria hit a home run in his team’s 6-1 victory over Samurai Japan. Longoria will head home to Edmondson, their 21-month-old daughter Ellie, and baby Nash following the final game of the team’s exhibition tour on Thursday.
