Picking the right duo composition can make or break a synergy of skills that can really help when surviving against other teams. For this ranking list, characters won’t be repeated to allow players a chance to test out a variety of different styles of play.
10 Nicky & Echion
Combining the might of a bruiser like Nicky and an Assassin such as Echion means players can hand out an insane amount of damage between them. Due to Nick’s Rage ability that stacks as characters take damage, she will want to be causing as much mayhem as possible.
As Echion is described in Eternal Return as lacking intelligence and being able to easily overpower his foes, it is of no surprise that this duo get on so well as any enemy Nicky can’t hit Echion can demolish with his prosthetic arm.
9 Leon & William
Not only is it aesthetically pleasing to combine the forces of two of the sportiest characters, with one being a swimmer and the other being a pitcher, the weaponry of these two units bounces well off each other.
While William slows an opponent through his Windup ability, this gives Leon a chance to get closer and attack. They can also both be quite nimble units, as Leon can teleport between his pools of water, while William is able to run faster when running towards a baseball, this can be incredibly helpful when trying to stop an enemy from escaping.
8 Xiukai & Lenox
Players won’t find a pair that better sustain one another than Xiukai and Lenox. The chef’s main ability allows him to cook recipes that heal better, but in order to do this he will need ingredients.
As an angler, Lenox is able to gain extra items when fishing, meaning she can supply her duo partner with extra fish to make the best foods possible for their survival. This doesn’t stop them from being great attackers, either, as there is far more under the surface of these career-driven characters.
7 Zahir & Emma
Although they are both mages and wield magic, Zahir is driven far more by faith than Emma who hopes to wow the crowds of Eternal Return with her best magic tricks. Similar to the strategy of Nicky and Echion, these two mainly focus on dealing as much damage as possible from a distance.
Hitting for immense amounts of damage while manipulating the enemy through turning them into rabbits and grounding them to their position means Emma can stop the enemy. Meanwhile, Zahir unleashes his inner strength to clean up.
6 Bernice & Priya
Another poetic duo of the hunter and the woman that might as well be a forest nymph join forces to survive in this battle royale. Bernice and Priya benefit greatly from ambushing foes and knowing exactly where their enemies are before they begin attacking. This makes them incredibly beginner-friendly.
Through Bernice’s Foothold Trap ability and the help of his falcon, Bernice and quickly make his way back to a trap that has been set off to begin his and Priya ranged assault. Lacing the ground with greenery, that will be the enemy’s demise.
5 Silvia & Chloe
Unlike many of these duos that hope to cause the most damage and get as many kills as possible, combining the forces of Silvia with Chloe is for players that are focusing on survivability and making it to the end.
This duo is also a trio, as Chloe is always followed by her doll companion Nina, that can attack alongside her or be sent out ahead. Silvia benefits from exploring all fifteen areas of the map which increases her overall speed, and this can be done easily on her bike, allowing them to both avoid any danger until the end of the match.
4 Nathapon & Felix
Nathapon plays similar to Bernice, where he is able to always know where an enemy is due to having a variety of cameras he can set up to watch spaces on the map. Through using his photography skills, he is also able to briefly stun an enemy from the flash of his camera.
These short amount of time is all Felix needs to swing in there with his spear and his Thunder Strike attack, allowing him to cast it several times and easily deal with an opponent.
3 Hart & Aiden
It’s a dangerous game to play when trying out the duo of Hart and Aiden, as timing can be incredibly important to make this duo work. Hart’s skills commonly do better damage when they have been given extra time to charge, and therefore stunning an opponent can be useful.
Aiden is able to commit to a lot of damage due to being a hybrid of a fighter and an assassin. His skills such as Dissipation can also allow Hart to have more time to charge her Delay Skill as he can stun an enemy briefly.
2 Johann & Adina
Playing as two of the best support characters in the game has its benefits, such as being able to heal each other for any damage that is taken during battles. Adina can be quite a complex character to learn, but once a player has mastered her and the luck behind her abilities, she can be an incredibly powerful unit.
Johann is there for added support, as many of his abilities can keep Adina breathing or push opponents back when they get too close to the duo.
1 Laura & Karla
The greatest duo available to players where they don’t only have the best chance of ranking first in a match but also getting a decent number of kills by holding their own, is combining the power of the whip-wielder Laura and Crossbow Karla.
This combination of up-close and distant combat means the duo have both bases covered when in danger. Not to mention their incredibly powerful skills that make units like Karla horrifying to deal with when her crossbow is charged, as well as slowing them for Laura using Salvage.
